Dr. Zvi Cohen, Hebrew scholar of New York, was appointed as executive director of the United Talmud Torahs of Montreal. Dr. Cohen comes originally from Poland. He was at one time on the staff of various newspapers in the United States, being identified with a number of Jewish educational institutions.
The United Talmud Torahs consists of eight schools and one Talmudic college, where over 1,300 children receive instruction in elementary school work, the ethics of Hebrew religion, and in Hebrew literature and culture, both of past and modern times.
