(JTA) — Director Quentin Tarantino and his Israeli wife, the model and singer Daniella Pick, are expecting a girl.
The celebrity couple announced the pregnancy in August. It will be the first child for both.
Earlier this month, they rented a home in an affluent neighborhood in the northern part of Tel Aviv for nearly $23,000 a month.
Tarantino let the gender of the baby slip during an interview at an event sponsored by the entertainment website Deadline in Los Angeles. In discussing watching Disney movies with the baby, he said he would “try to steer her away from ‘Frozen’ onto ‘Tangled,” thus giving away the gender.
Tarantino, 56, and Pick, 35, started dating in 2009 when the director was in Israel promoting his movie “Inglorious Basterds.” They later broke up but began dating again in 2016.
The couple married under a huppah, or Jewish wedding canopy, in November 2018, shortly after Tarantino finished filming “Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood.” A Reform rabbi participated in the ceremony and Tarantino wore a yarmulke.
Pick the daughter of the popular Israeli singer and composer Svika Pick.
