The Neue Galerie, which was founded by Jewish leader Ronald Lauder, said it paid market value to the heirs of the Jewish family in exchange for the painting.
The bill extends the statute of limitations to six years from the date that the art is identified and located, and from when the claimant has shown evidence of possession.
