Declaring the Government is determined to check the agitation against Jews which have resulted in widespread violence, Prime Minister Bratiano informed the Chamber today the Cabinet would resign if it does not succeed in restoring order.

The Premier’s statement came as a reply to Deputy Jorga, an influential editor and noted historian, for years connected with the Bucharest University, who demanded the Government put down the agitation in the universities, and as an example to others, dismiss the professors alleged to be inciting the students to violence.
