A charge that the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America is attempting to “sovitize” the clothing industry in the U.S. will be probed. Opportunity for the examination is afforded by the Appelate court granting the plea of Marks Arnheim, a clothing manufacturer, that Sidney Hillman and his associates be required to submit to an examination before a referee prior to a trial of an action brought by Arnheim against the union for $250,000 damages.
