The apparent quiet reigning in Poland notwithstanding, there is still considerable agitation against the Jews, in consequence of the protests against execution and persecution in Russia of Christian prelates.

Following a protest meeting in Posen, hooligans surrounded the synagogue, smashed the window panes, routing the terror-stricken worshippers.

Reports from Vilna reveal that Jewish passengers on trains from Warsaw to Vilna are molested and are not unfrequently thrown out of moving trains.
