What is tantamount to government approval of the Fascisti program of the anti-Semitic student body has been decided upon when the union of student fascisti organization was granted a charter.

The heads of the Fascisti movement are making full use of this legalization, efforts being already made to oust those of the leaders who favor moderation, and it is expected a countermovement will develop among the students’ leaders favoring a compromise.

Rector Simionescu of the University of Jassy has tendered his resignation as a protest against the spirit of Fascism.

Punishment meted out to offending students is not thought likely to act as a deterrent. Of the twenty students in Jassy arraigned before the faculty only five were disciplined by being expelled for one term. The remaining fifteen got off with a severs reprimand.
