The erection of a Jewish University in Kishineff is proposed by the “Alliance Israelite”, accaccording to reports to Jewish newspapers here. The reports add that leading Roumanian Jews in America are interested in the project and are preparing to aid it financially.
Officials of the Alliance Israelite are understood to be seeking the consent of the Roumanian Government, and Roumanian diplomats in foreign countries are said to be in favor of the plan.
