General Stanislaus Haller has been named chief of the Polish military staff, succeeding Marshall Joseph Pilsudski who resigned when M. Witos assumed the Premiership.

General Haller who recruited the Polish volunteers in America is notoriously anti-Semitic. Such practices as the hurling of Jewish passengers from fast moving trains and the cutting of Jews’ beards were inaugurated by his recruits.

Korfanty a Silesian leader, also an anti Semite, is insistently mentioned as the likeliest candidate for the War Ministry.
