Albert Mautner, Austrian Jew who became a convert to Catholicism and later changed to Protestantism and who more recently had dabbled in occultism, strangeld his wife at his home here yesterday while his three children were playing in the same room.

Mautner who at one time was an Austrian postoffice official had recently been unemployed.
