"The London Times" in an editorial today declares that "strictly speaking the Palestine Arab Congress has no authority to speak for the Arabs."

"Theoretically", the paper continues, "the British would be justified in ignoring the Arab Congress, but they must reckon largely with Arab opinion in Palestine.

"The Arab Congress has given nothing but an an exhibition of arrogance and political unwisdom. All told, it amounts to a demand that Britain and the League of Nations put aside all past projects for the development of Palestine and that Britain descend from the position of mandatory and accept the Arab Congress as the authoritative government," the "Times" concludes.
