The creation of a united front against the Jews at the forthcoming parliamentary elections by all anti-Semitic agencies is being countered by a move on the part of the various Jewish elements here for united Jewish action.
The move for such a solidarity on the part of the Jews is supported by the assimilationist faction as well as the nationalists. The only obstacle on the road is the “Israelite Union” which has interposed objections, but negotiations are under way with that organization, which it is hoped, will lead to the enlistment of its support as well.
It is expected that by such a “united front” it would be possible to elect at least two Jewish deputies, five town councillors and ten district “Aldermen”.
