The whole of CzechoSlovakia, as previously reported by cable, is being inundated with anti-Semitic literature. The leaflets are mostly drawn up in German. It is important to note that the centre of this propaganda is not Czecho-Slovakia, but Leipzig and Munich, whence the literature is being sent in large quantities to Czecho-Slovakia.

According to information received by the J.T.A. this agitation started about two years ago, soon after the conferences which Henry Fold held at Carlsbad with the German Deputy Jung and with other politicians in Czecho Slovakia.

This anti-Semitic campaign is more remarkable, because it is obviously detrimental to the interests of the German population in the country. As it is well known, the Germans in Czecho-Slovakia are in a minority and during the war, they found in the Jews their most loyal and steadfast supporters. The majority of the Jews in the country regarded themselves as belonging to the German nationality, they speak German and have contributed much towards the maintenance of German cultural institutions in the republic.

What is happening just now in Czecho-Slovakia strengthens the belief that there is in existence a central office for international anti-Semitic propaganda, the main object of which is to stir up a powerful anti-Jewish movement throughout the world.

The organization works hand in hand with the Catholic Church. Especially prominent in it has been the powerful Jesuit Order which during the last few months has become very active in Central Europe.

The anti-Semitic propaganda is carried on even in countries which have few Jews, or none at all, such as Scendinavia and Italy. The “Swastika” organizations, which have lately sprung up in Austria, the “Frontkamoner”, the “Orgesch”, and the numerous other monarchist societies in Germany, the “Rozwoj” in Poland, the notorious “Awakening Magyars”, the Russian monarchist circles in Paris, Berlin, Munich, Prague and Belgrade-all are anxious to win support for their monarchist aims, and are exploiting anti-Semitism as a means to that end.

There is evidence to prove that all these organizations intend to combine into one powerful “Black International”. That Germany is the centre of most of these organizations is proven beyond doubt, by the fact that it is from that country that anti-Semitic propaganda literature is being forwarded to other countries. It has also been ascertained that the activities of the monarchist societies abroad, have been influenced and directed by those in Germany.

The headquarters of the Russian monarchists are still, as hitherto. in Paris, where they have during the last week been very active. At the present moment they are conferring with the French Government with a view to organizing a counter-revolution in the Ukraine. These activities in Paris are being conducted under the leadership of the Grand Duke Cyril Vladimirovitch.

The Russian monarchists in Paris are working in close contact with the monarchists in Belgrade, who, headed by Markovitch, participated in a recent revolution in Bulgaria.

The Belgrade section of the Russian monarchists, on the other hand, is acting in close conjunction with Hungary. In Poland, Petlura is busy sending out agents to the Ukraine, where he is still popular among the peasantry.

Russian monarchists have also attempted to enter into negotiations with the British Government, which, however. has not been so easily influenced by these monarchist machinations, as have French official circles. Russian monarchists in Paris and in Belgrade are confident of the ultimate success of their endeavours, and often discuss their plans directed against Bolshevism.
