The members of the British “Israel” organization which adheres to the belief that the British are the lost ten tribes are divided in their opinion on Zionism but always were convinced long before the Balfour Declaration that Palestine should be repeopled with Jews only under British suzerainty.

This statement was made to the J. T. A. by a member of the praesidium of the “Israel” convention which is meeting here.

The “Israelites” welcome the presence of the Jews on English territories. They emphasize their belief that the Jews are only a small portion of the ancient Hebrews, the Jews being the descendants of Judah and the British the offspring of the Israelites.
