The situation throughout Upper Silesia and, particularly, here continues threatening as far as the Jews are concerned. The anti-Semites, taking their due from the German Party insist that Jews are in complete control of Beuthen, occupying the best residences and, organized under the very eyes of the police, maintain a well equipped and well-paid Jewish guard, which “molests” the Haken-kreuzler.

Basing themselves upon this incredable accusation, the German Party appeals to the military authorities to take the situation in hand before “the seething German national soul resorts to self-defense”.
