Eighteen resident buyers of New York have pledged themselves to raise before the end of the year at least $5,000 each toward the $700,000 needed by the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies to complete its 1923 budget of $3,500,000, it was announced yesterday by Arthur Lehman, president.
S. M. Goldberg, of 1225 Broadway, is chairman of the committee of buyers in the women’s ready to wear Business Men’s Council of Federation which is conducting the campaign. Associated with Mr. Goldberg are Frank Russek, S. W. Stickman, Max Berlinger, Louis J. Chamansky, Ben H. Sisholz and Sam Sakolow.
