The anti-Semites’ boast that the Crown Prince had promised his assistance to the anti-Semitic students is denied in a semi-official statement just issued.

A deputation of anti-Jewish students waited on the Crown Prince to whom the latter is quoted to have said:

“I advise you to devote yourself to your studies. Your demands for restriction on the freedom of Jewish students are impossible, especially your demands regarding the institution of the numerus clausus. In return for your good behavior I shall

support you in the building of the students’ home and in the solidation of your mutual aid organizations”.

The Crown Prince is reported also to have denied the petition to release two of the leaders of the recent Fascisti plot, Codreanu and Motzo. This was a matter over which the Minister of Justice had sole jurisdiction, the Prince is understood to have replied.
