High prices have served as a pretext for looting of Jewish shops during the recent fairs at Kalwarja in the district of Cfacow, and Niedrzwicamala in the Lublin district.

At the former place some of the leaders were arrested and part of the booty recovered. Of 250 leaders at the latter place only 48 arrests were made and but a small part of the booty recovered.
