Excavation aiming to unearth the ancient city of David is being continued by the Jewish expedition under Captain Raymond Weil of the Sorbonne despite the important discovery by Professor Robert MacAllister of the Palestine Exploration Fund who came across the Jebusite north wall of David’s fortifications.

Captain Weil, who is director for oriental studies in the University of Paris told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that his expedition’s excavations of the city of David financed by Baron deRothschild of Paris will continue until the Spring under the control of the Palestine Government.

Captain Weil is digging in the vicinity of Professor MacAllister’s excavations, harmony and the closest cooperation existing between the two.
