Libel proceedings have been instituted against the “Berliner Tageblatt”, by Herr Maretzky, leader of the Stinnes wing of the German People’s Party because of a report in that paper that Maretzky is of Jewish descent. The plaintiff considers he had been libelled and is suing for damages caused his reputation.
