Eighteen seats, one-fifth of the entire number in the Bavanian Diet, have been won by the Voelkische Partei, under the leadership of Adolph Hitler, the unsuccessful hero of the beer revolution. The anti-Semitic press devotes many columns in rejoicing at these victories, and expresses the hope that the strengthened anti-Semitic faction in the Diet will work for the freeing of Germany from Jewish influence.
