Press reports state that Sigmund Bosel, the richest man in Austria, and Jewish philanthropist, has lost over $20,000,000 owing to the rise of the franc.
The amazing charge that there exists a conspiracy on the part of the house of Rothschild and other solidly entrenched financial firms against Bosel was discussed at the general meeting of the Vienna Bourse today. It was stated that Bosel was being forced by this combine of bankers to dispose daily of tremendous parts of his holdings in foreign exchange and industrial shares; and that the old banking group is constantly exerting pressure to lower the value of Bosel’s holdings in order to make his losses greater.
It is the general opinion in financial circles that the Vienna Bourse can be saved only by the co-operation of the Rothschilds and the old group with Bosel.
