Egyptian Press Charges Sir Herbert Samuel Aided King Hussein to Caliphate.

The Egyptian press discusses broadly the latest steps of King Hussein since his proclamation as “Caliph of all the Faithful Moslems.” The leading organs of Egyptian public opinion severely attack King Hussein for his self-proclamation and charge that he has achieved his life-lond ambition only with the aid of the British authorities, and especially with the support of Sir Herbert Samuel, British High Commissioner of Palestine.

The press goes as far as to agitate for the calling of a special world Moslem Congress, to be held in Cairo, the city of many Moslem traditions, for the purpose of choosing a new Caliph.
