Shouting “Hurrah for Henry Ford” and carrying his picture and reprints from his book, 50 students, members of the Terrorist organization, started a riot Saturday which resulted in the wounding of about 100 Jews, according to press reports which have reached here from Bucharest. Several regiments of troops had to be called before the riot could be quelled.

An attack was made at the Economic Institute where Aristed Blank, the most important banker in Roumania, was discussing the financial situation before several hundred leading bankers. The invaders beat Blank badly before Titelesco, Minister to London, could rescue him.

The occasion for the outbreak was the opening of the trial of Ion Motza and five other students for trying to kill Rosenthah, a leading Jewish newspaperman, and plotting to kill Blank, his father, and three cabinet members accused of selling themselves to the Jews. Motza said “the Jews became rich aiding the German invaders in wartime. Henry Ford shows in his book that no country is able to assimilate the Jews.” Twenty of the best lawyers in Roumania have volunteered to defend Motza.
