The French administration of Syria, after a period of watchful waiting, has taken definite steps to prevent the Syrian Mohammedens from giving support to King Hussein as Caliph. Investigation by the secret police uncovered a tribal organization formed to lend aid and carry on propaganda for Hussein as Caliph, in Syria. The French police also found evidence that the money for this activity is coming from Transjordania, which is the kingdom of Emir Abdullah, son of King Hussein.
