Jewish Relief Committee Sues to Collect on Pledges

Suits were entered today by the American Jewish Relief Committee, which aids World War sufferers in Europe, against five defendants, to enforce collection of moneys pledged to the cause.

In numerous instances the courts have hold that a pledge of a financial contribution to a charitable cause or drive is a legal as well as a moral obligation, and defendants have been compelled to make good on their pledges.
