Replying to the formal protest which the American Jewish Congress sent to Senator Robert M. LaFollette when it discovered that a petition by Hungar

ians for changing the Peace Treaty contained anti-Semitic propaganda and anti-Jewish libels, Robert M. LaFollette, Jr., the son and secretary of the Senator, explained to the American Jewish Congress, that Senator LaFollette is at present too ill to be able to take any action in reply to the protest, but that he repudiates all the anti-Semitism in the petition and that he will take action accordingly as soon as he is able to do so.
