LaFollette, Jr., the son and secretary of the Senator, explained to the American Jewish Congress, that Senator LaFollette is at present too ill to be able to take any action in reply to the protest, but that he repudiates all the anti-Semitism in the petition and that he will take action accordingly as soon as he is able to do so.
