Nationalization of Commerce is Policy of Angora Government

The introduction of a strictly nationalistic policy in the field of commerce is the latest step of the Angora Government.

The Government has now appointed special commercial directors whose task it will be to supervise the economic reconstruction of the country, and at the same time report to the central authorities, every three months, the number of Turkish and non-Turkish employees in the various companies. This is being done in order to maintain Turkish numerical preponderance in the fields of commerce and trade in Turkey. The Government intents to insist that commercial houses employ only Turkish commercial correspondents.
