The new treaty between Great Britain and King Hussein of Hedjas, the lately proclaimed Caliph of the Moslems, has been completed, and is now awaiting the signatures of the contracting parties, according to Dr. Naji El Assil, the political representative of King Hussein in London, who left here today for Mecca.
The new draft of the treaty, Dr. Assil stated, contains many provisions which were lacking in the previous draft, to which King Hussein objected. According to the revised draft, Great Britain is ready to formally recognize the complete independence of the Mecca Government. The treaty also provides for the creation of a federation of all the Arab countries, under the supreme leadership of King Hussein.
Another provision in the treaty deals with the question of Palestine, which the Arabs claim as a part of their federation and, according to Dr. Assil, this provision is drafted in such a manner that it is likely that it will meet with the approval of all parties concerned-the Jews, the Arabs and Great Britain.
