The Zionists were attacked by Dr. Abdurlrehman S. Shabbender of Damascur, a Syrian at a dinner given at the Hotel Astor Thursday night by the National Independence Party of Syria in New York, and the Palestine National League, Dr. Shahtender was making a plea for American support to establish a united and independent Syria.
“Syria today is torn into three separate parts, ruled by three differ
ent government,” he said. “Each uses a different language and a different civilization. France is in the north, England with the Zionists in the south and our kinsmen in Transjordania.
“Great Britain is using the Jews as a buffer between the French in the north and the Suez Canal in the south.”
