The Gerer Rabbi (one of the leaders of the Chassidic sect) has left, together with his son and a number of Jewish industrialists from Lodz, for Palestine where they intend to stay for two months.

Thousands of Chassidim and many orthodox delegations have arrived from all parts of the country in order to say farewell.

Special cordens of police were scheduled to guard the stations to see that order was maintained.

The party consisted of thirty persons who are travelling in a special train to Vienna and from there to Triest.
