Following the intervention of M. Louis Oungre, General Manager of the Jewish Colonization Association, a special arrangement has been concluded with the Fabre Shipping Line, by which kosher food will be provided for all Jewish emigrants travelling by the Company’s ships. A special room will be set apart on board all ships of the Fabre Line to be used as a synagogue on Sabbaths and Jewish Festivals. A Sephar Torah will be provided by the ICA and left in the charge of an attendant appointed by the Association.
