The Conference of South African Zionists opened here Wednesday with several hundred Zionists present, including Alexander Goldstein of the World Zionist Organization. A message was received from General Jan Smuts in which the South African Premier Stated that while he was in London recently he discussed the question of the National Homeland in Palestine with other premiers with the result that the British Government reaffirmed the great principle, which he considered eminently satisfactory.
