Twenty-nine Zionists who were kept in prison for five months in the city of Minsk were sentenced by the Soviet authorities to be deported to Palestine.
The grounds for the charges against them were that they had been spreading illegal Zionist literature, conducting nationalistic propaganda among the Jewish population, and were in contact with Zionist organizations of the world.
