Mr. E. Cadoorie, the Rothschild of the Orient, who recently started the Jewish world with his large contribution toward the Keren Hayesod, arrived here in company of his two sons, Lawrence and Horace, where they are being entertained as guests of the Zionist Organization of America. He has conferred with local Zionist leaders and stated that he not only intends to complete the work of the new Garden City he is now building in Palestine, but will also make larger investments in that country. He declared that the only country where Jews can make safe and profitable investments is Palestine.

Mrs. Cadoorie, the late wife of Mr. Cadoorie, has left in her will a considerable sum of money for the establishment of a student quarter near the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

When the American Aviators recently passed by Shanghai, Mr. Cadoorie gave a reception to fifteen hundred people in their honor.
