The question of the Educational Budget for Palestine, which gave rise to heated discussion and diferences of opinion in Palestine, was finally settled today at a meeting of the Zionist Executive in which Col Kisch, the political executive of the Zionist Executive in Jerusalem, participated.

Col. Kisch reported that Dr. Louie, the head of the Zionist Education Department in Palestine who resigned from his post as a protest against the decrease of the educational budget, has agreed to continue in office, providing that the allotment is increased from 58,000 ??? to 60,000 ???. Col. Kisch declared that he was satisfied to say that the addition is necessary. It was the concensus of opinion at the meeting that the Executive is not in a position to increase the allotment which was made by the Zionist Actions Committee. The Executive has decided, rather, to request the Palestine Executive to endeavor to raise the 2,000 ??? in Palestine. Should this sum not be forthcoming in Palestine, the Zionist Executive will make good the balance.
