Dr. Louis Ginsberg, famous Talmudical scholar and professor of the Talmud of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, has received a call from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem to become its first lecturer on the Talmud, according to the announcement made by the Jewish Theological Seminary.
The directors of the seminary, of which Louis Marshall is chairman, have granted Dr. Ginsberg one year’s leave of absence and made it possible for him to accept the call.
Professor Ginsberg, who is regarded as the greatest Talmudical scholar, has been associated with the Jewish Theological Seminary for the last twenty years.
