The war between Sultan Ibn Saoud, leader of the Wahabis and King Hussein of the Hedjas, has taken a new turn, according to reports received here from Mecca.
King Hussein’s army, which was fleeing in panic under pressure of the Wahabis, received reinforcements and started a counter-attack. The city of Taif, sixty miles from Mecca, which was occupied by the Wahabi forces last week, is now the center of activities and is being besieged by King Hussein’s troops.
