A Congress of the Jews of Czechoslovakia may be held January next, according to the decision of the Jewish National Council of Czechoslovakia. The Council has appointed a Commission to consider the convening of a Congress for the purpose of discussing a number of important questions which the Jewish community in Czechoslovakia is now facing.
One of the problems which the Congress will have to consider is the agricultural settlement of Jews in Carpatho-Russia. As many as 30,000 Jews are engaged in farming in Carpatho-Russia at the present time.
