A meeting in memory of Dr. Menachem Scheinkin, Zionist leader killed in the street car crash in Chicago, was held here last night under the auspices of the Zionist organization.
Dr. Chaim Weizmann payed tribute to Dr. Scheinkin, stating that he had known Dr. Scheinkin for the last 30 years. Dr. Weizmann spoke of the great service rendered by Dr. Scheinkin toward the upbuilding of Palestine. “The existence of the Jewish colony, Balfouria, is due entirely to Dr. Scheinkin’s efforts”, said Dr. Weizmann.
