Mr. Zilbermintz, editor of a pornographic journal issued here under the name “Scheigetz,” was sentenced to seven months in jail.
The court prohibits him from publishing anything for two years.

NEW CENTERS AND SYNAGOGUES
A campaign to raise $250,000 for a Jewish community center building in Albany has beeb started.
A site for the new community house in Glens Falls, N. Y., has been purchased. The building will be completed shortly.
A decision to erect a synagogue on Welfare Island for the 200 Jewish hospital patients there was announced by the New York Chapter of the Council of Jewish Women.
Mrs. Edward Josephy announced that the plan had the full consent and promise of cooperation of Bird S. Coler, Commissioner of Public Welfare, and $40,000 will be required.
Mrs. Isabella Freedman offered $10,000 as her donation to the fund in memory of her parents. Gifts of $1,000 from Murry Guggenheim and $500 from Mrs. Isaac Gimbel were announced.
