Mouharned Ali il Taer, secretary of the Palestinian Committee in Egypt, has started a political weekly named “Alshowra” (Consultation). The aim of the paper is to report on events affecting Palestine, Syria, Lebanon and Transjordania, concentrating chiefly on affairs in Palestine. Musa Kazim Pasha, the President of the Palestine Arab Executive, publishes a letter in the first issue on the Arab question in Palestine. An attack is made elsewhere in the issue on the Cairo Jewish paper, “Israel”, and on certain of the Jewish notables in Egypt.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
