In his column, “Random thoughts”, which appears weekly in a number of English-Jewish periodicals, Charles H. Joseph, editor of the “Jewish Criterion” of Pittsburgh, has the following paragraph on the “Jewish Daily Bulletin”:

“A new venture in journalism. The “Jewish Daily Bulletin”, the first Jewish daily ever to be printed in English in this country. It has a list of subscribers that reads like “Who’s Who in American Jewry.” And deservedly so, for this little bulletin brings every morning a digest of the news in the world of Jewry. It brings it by cable, by telegraph and by mail. It is the ‘meatiest’ publication I have ever seen. It deserves the support of every Jew in this country who is interested in Jewish affairs of a world nature. I cannot see how any Jewish leader can get along without this daily newspaper. It has no social page, it has no gossip, its function is to collect news from every part of the globe that is of interest to Jews. And it’s the smallest daily you ever saw. Even smaller than the usual tabloid you have seen. But it is such an extraordinarily valuable asset to Jewish life that every Jewish agency should encourage it.”
