A relief committee to help the victims of the fire which broke out in Bakau. Old Roumania, destroying five hundred Jewish houses and causing the loss of many lives, was formed under the auspices of Queen Marie of Roumania.
A donation of 200,000 Lei was made by the royal family. Four hundred thousand Lei was subscribed by the Kehillah of Bakau.
