The present situation of development in the Jewish immigration to Palestine, as well as a picture of Jewish migration throughout the world will be presented to the World Migration Congress called by the International Federation of Trade Unions and the Labor and Socialist International, which will open here on June 22.
In a memorandum submitted to the Congress by the Jewish labor party. Poale Zion, a protest is expressed against the exploitation of immigrants for revenue purposes and the demand is made that the governments be urged to abolish all visa and passport fees.
A resolution offered in the memorandum will pretest against all limitations imposed upon immigrants and particularly against the restrictions imposed on specific races, religions and nationalities. The memorandum offers a resolution protesting against the special measures against Jewish immigrants in Canada, Brazil and France, and demands that the World Migration Congress recognize the tragic effects of the present immigration restrictions on Jewish immigrants.
The memorandum of the Poale Zion also asked for material and moral support from the Migration Congress for the Chaluzim in Palestine and appeals to the League of Nations for International promotion of the Palestine settlement by Jews.
