Recognition for Hebrew was accorded here when the Council for Jewish Culture today announced that Hebrew will be the language of instruction in Jewish schools of Esthonia.

The decision was reached after heated discussion, in which the Yiddishists demanded that the language of instruction be Yiddish. The Council decided that while Hebrew should be the language of instruction, Yiddish would receive considerable attention.
