A demonstration of Jewish war invalids from various European countries took place yesterday in Zoppot, a resort near here.
The wounded veterans who participated in the demonstration are delegates to the World Conference of Jewish War Invalids which is now meeting in Danzig. Sixty delegates, representing all parts of the world, are in attendance, including many who were terribly maimed, some having lost arms, legs and eyes in the war.
An American delegate, Mr. Zitrinsky, opened the Congress with an address in which he declared that the idea of a world federation of Jewish war invalids originated in 1924. The plan was held up in the hope that Jewish public bodies would interest themselves in the fate of the invalided war veterans who are neglected in all countries and are being victimized because of the prevailing anti-Semitic tendencies, he declared. Mr. Zitrinsky urged the conference to send a delegation to the United States for the purpose of acquainting American Jewry with the suffering of the Jewish war invalids.
