All Jewish children attending Roumanian public schools are to be excused from attending school on Saturday, according to an order issued by Roumanian Minister of Education Petrovice.

The order was issued at the insistence of Rabbi Zirelson, member of the Roumanian Senate for Bessarabia.

The ministerial order adds that the absence of Jewish children on Saturday is not to be considered as an excuse for any deficiencies on their part at the examinations.
