Sir Herbert Samuel and Dr. Weizmann Call Non-partisan Conference on Palestine Economic Problems

A non-partisan finance and economic committee to advise the Zionist Organization on the economic aspects of the upbuilding of the Jewish National Home in Palestine will be formed at a special conference which will be held here on October 10.

The conference will be presided over by Sir Herbert Samuel, former High Commissioner of Palestine, and will last for several days. Invitations to the conference were issued in the name of Sir Herbert Samuel and Dr. Chaim Weizmann. Sir Alfred Mond is expected to attend the conference upon his return from the United States.

Among those who will participate in the conference are Deputy Leon Blum, French Socialist leader, Judge Visser, member of the Supreme Court at The Hague, Senator Della Torre of Milan, Herr Oscar Wassermann, well known German financier and banker of Berlin, Michael Pollak head, of the Nesher Cement Factory of Haifa. The Zionist organization will be represented by the Executive and its financial and economic council.
