Recently Prof. Hupka, a Jewish scholar, was appointed dean of the college of Jurisprudence at the University. A group of students who are members of the Deutsch Voelkische party submitted a memorandum to the Senate, in which they protest against the appointment, declaring that they refuse to be examined under the chairmanship of a Jew and they refuse to receive their doctorate degree from the hands of a Jewish dean.
